The International Science Council’s Committee on Data (CODATA), the World Data System (WDS), and the Research Data Alliance (RDA), are jointly organizing the International Data Week 2025 (IDW 2025). This event will take place in Australia for the first time on 13-16 October 2025, in Brisbane/Meanjin.
Computer Network Information Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CNIC, CAS) is happy to be the IDW 2025 regional partner to raise the Asia-Pacific awareness to this feast of knowledge.
Leading international conference on research data
IDW 2025 will combine the RDA 25th Plenary Meeting, the biannual meeting of this international member organisation working to develop and support global infrastructure facilitating data sharing and reuse, and SciDataCon 2025, the scientific conference addressing the frontiers of data in research organised by CODATA and WDS.
This year’s theme of ‘Data for Positive Change’ highlights the commitment to the role of data in instituting change by empowering communities and advancing research. The program features an array of keynote talks, workshops, and interactive sessions led by eminent, as well as emerging experts, in the field.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking discussions, gain insights from cutting-edge research, and share their own experiences and innovations in using and sharing research data.
